Project Details
Alpine Excavating & Construction performed full-site civil and earthwork operations for the DDHU Lot 4 Storage Yard project at Hill Air Force Base, delivering a high-quality finished product in coordination with federal standards and oversight.
The scope included mass grading and earthwork across approximately 12 acres, with a total of 35,000 cubic yards of material excavated and exported off-site. Site grading operations were performed to meet strict tolerances required for government storage use, ensuring proper subgrade preparation, drainage performance, and long-term durability.
A significant portion of the project involved installation of a comprehensive storm drainage system, including multiple storm drain lines and catch basins, designed to effectively manage runoff across the large storage yard footprint.
Alpine performed fine grading and finish work to meet project specifications, working in close coordination with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to ensure compliance with all federal requirements. All materials and installation practices adhered to Build America, Buy America (BABA) compliance standards.
Through proactive coordination, quality control, and adherence to federal specifications, Alpine Excavating & Construction played a key role in delivering a reliable and durable storage facility, meeting the performance expectations of Hill Air Force Base and federal stakeholders.
