MT Ogden UTA Transit Facility

About the Project

Alpine Excavating & Construction has been selected to perform all excavation and utility work for the new Utah Transit Authority facility in Ogden. This project represents a major infrastructure investment that will support expanded transit operations and long-term regional growth.

The scope of work begins with a full site demolition, including removal of existing pavement, utilities, and structural elements to prepare the site for redevelopment. Following demolition, Alpine will execute mass excavation and site grading operations, establishing proper subgrade elevations and preparing the site for new building construction.

A significant portion of the project includes the installation of new utility infrastructure and system upgrades, including water, sewer, storm drainage, and associated underground systems. These improvements are designed to meet current municipal standards while supporting the operational needs of the new transit facility.

Alpine is working in close coordination with Big-D Construction as the general contractor, ensuring alignment on schedule, sequencing, and quality control. All work will comply with Build America, Buy America (BABA) requirements, utilizing approved domestic materials throughout the project. In addition, the project is subject to certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance, requiring strict adherence to federal labor standards and reporting.

Safety remains a core priority on this project. Alpine is implementing comprehensive safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards and project-specific requirements, ensuring a controlled and incident-free work environment across all phases of construction.

With a targeted completion in 2027, Alpine Excavating & Construction is committed to delivering high-quality excavation and utility work that supports the successful development of this critical transit facility in Ogden.
